[ENG] Henry Cavill Charity Updates #54

This is the Henry Cavill Charity Updates. The weekly summary of top news from the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and Royal Marines Charity. Henry is an ambassador for these social causes, and through his social networks he supports and publicizes these institutions.

Durrell began the week reporting that “more than 300 species of mammals have already been wiped out by human activities,” putting an end to billions of years of historical evolution.

Several scientists have commented that the mass extinction of life on earth has begun, about 83% of wild mammals are gone. Read the full article on The Guardian website and fallow the work of researchers in identifying highly endangered species and how this loss has affected ecosystems.

While scientists are studying the destruction of various species of mammals during human evolution, Durrell’s conservationists are struggling to save one of them, the cobra of St. Lucia.

With a population of only 18 individuals, this snake is considered the most rare and endangered in the world. Learn how to help with this great project by visiting Durrell’s Website, whether through adoption or donation, all help will be welcome.

Durrell CEO Dr. Lesley Dickie is the finalist of this year’s Neville Bain Award for Excellence in Direction and Practice at the 2018 Director of the Year Award! We congratulate and wish Lesley good luck.

You can see the complete list of finalists by visiting the Director of the Year 2018 website.

Butterflies will color the days of the Jersey Zoo. And you’re more than welcome to visit the zoo and explore the Butterfly and Tortoise House.
